CATWALK FOR A CAUSE

A few Saturdays ago the Rotary of Elizabeth Quay and Trax for Gastrotracks hosted the annual Catwalk for a Cause event at the Perth Convention Centre.  We were welcomed to a sensational occasion combining charity and fashion. The GI Cancer Institute was the charity of choice for this years event and a grand total was reached which far exceeded everyone's expectations. The amount of support and contribution by the sponsors, guests and friends of the organisers was both inspiring and overwhelming.

It commenced with a doctor performing an aerial dance, it had a flower wall, a photo booth, a VIP lounge, a dance performance by the King Street Dance Studio, raffles, auctions and of course a much awaited runway show.  And my my! The runway show did not disappoint with some of Perth’s best designers showcasing their collections.

First off we had NATALIE ROLT opening the show with some metallic punch.

HUNTER ROSE sure didn't put us to sleep with these sweet and spicy nighties.

MAASAI ACTIVEWEAR presented us with sizzling sportswear that maintains the heat on and off the track.

JPORTER taught us how to be fashionably fun with their clothing suddenly sliding down the runway in a moment of exhilaration.

Chic and edgy! Can we expect anything less from HELLO PARRY? I don’t think so!

Bring on the frills and flaunt that shoulder!

BRUUG revealed how to be a casual trendsetter with some edgy basics.

LOCK & KEY clothing reminded us that we are ladies, and bestowed us with some charming dresses that were both feminine and flowy. Perfect for the autumn season!

LOVE THREAD PROJECT exhibited several stunning satin silk garments.

JONTÉ owned her unique style and uncovered further inimitable pieces.

The above outfit, although the photo doesn’t highlight its true beauty due to technical difficulties, was my favourite of the night.

Let me tell you everyone's closet needs a bit of Jonté! <3

Lastly what better way to conclude a show than with the glamour queen herself, STEPH AUDINO! She is the official designer of this year’s Miss Australia’s national costume, has taken over the U.S. and is a gown constructing genius.

Check out that embroidery!

To the show I wore the stunning JONTÉ Quartz Jumpsuit in rose gold, the Grady clutch by Jessica Bratich, H&M earrings and Betts shoes.

S wore the Foreli Drape Gown by SCK THE LABEL in silver and cream heels from Novo.

Catwalk for a Cause was filled with style, generosity, performances and most of all HEART. Hope you all have a wonderful week and here are some happy snaps of us at the photobooth.

Xx
